Feel Ready to be Seen Guide
A gentle digital guide to help you prepare your mindset before seeing photos of yourself.
Originally created as a bonus resource for my boudoir clients, this guide was designed to help prepare for the emotional side of being photographed and seeing your images afterward.
While some of the language inside is specific to boudoir sessions, the message applies to so much more than boudoir.
This guide is for anyone who wants to feel a little more grounded, prepared, and kind to themselves before seeing a significant amount of photos of their body, face, expressions, angles, and real-life self.
It may be helpful before:
a boudoir session
a wedding or engagement session
vacation photos
family photos
maternity photos
branding photos
reunion or event photos
any moment where you know you’ll be photographed and want to feel less critical of yourself afterward
Inside, we talk about why seeing photos of ourselves can feel so uncomfortable, why selfies and mirrors can make “real” photos feel unfamiliar, how to move through the instinct to pick yourself apart, and how to start viewing your images with more softness and perspective.
This guide also includes simple mindset assignments to help you get more familiar with seeing yourself in photos before the big moment arrives.
This is not about forcing yourself to love every photo immediately. It’s about giving yourself a little more context, a little more compassion, and a little more room to exist in photos without immediately tearing yourself apart.
You deserve to exist in photos.
